Betty and Bob's 50th Wedding Anniversary

Tragedy struck when, in late 1971, Bob was diagnosed with lung cancer. The doctors removed one of his lungs and gave him five years to live. That was 30 years ago. To this day, his doctors can't believe he's still living. The end result is that his heart has grown twice as big as normal to make up for reduced lung capacity. (Anyone who knows him will agree with the doctors who say he's got a bigger heart than most anyone else they know!)
Eleven years after his first bout, Bob was again diagnosed with cancer and the doctors removed tissue from the remaining lung. Eleven years after THAT Bob was AGAIN diagnosed with cancer. This time the doctors removed a foot of his colon - and he hasn't been able to think right since. That last episode was in 1994. We're all wondering what the doctors will want to remove in 2005.
