Betty and Bob's 50th Wedding Anniversary

To help pay off the medical bills, the family sold their house in Akron and moved into an apartment in Stow, Ohio. Betty returned to work. Since all the kids were past elementary school age so this was not too big of a problem. She got a job working in the back-office of a local Montgomery Ward. By this time, the cousins had moved out and Linda was starting her first year at Milligan College, so the downsizing was acceptable to all.
