| Jane also took me downtown to meet a jeweler who specializes in Tanzanite. A friend of mine in Arizona requested I look into whether I could get her a good deal on some tanzanite. The jeweler’s family has a mine in Tanzania. The jeweler’s daughter attends the same school that my nieces do and she gives big discounts to families of attendees of that school. |
| The jeweler allowed me to take some pictures of some of her stones and I emailed them to my friend who got very excited by the quality and price. She chose one of the stones but when I went back to buy it, the jeweler said she had just sold it to the Japanese ambassador the night before. So I picked out another and my friend liked it just as well. |
