Mt Longonot

Mt Longonot caldera

Ready to go hiking

On Tuesday, Jane took Ayla, Erin and Shauna and I down into the rift valley and we hiked up Mt Longonot.
Remember where you parked!

Break time

This Mountain is 9000 feet tall, but the base is above 6000 feet so the climb wasn’t too bad, unless you’re the mother of 4 who doesn’t have time to exercise!

Hiking Mt Longonot

Jane finally makes it!

The Rift Valley as seen from Mt Longonot

Erin was the first to make it to the top, by about 5 or 10 minutes, and Jane was a few minutes behind everyone else.

The Rim Trail

Little Shauna actually hiked all the way up the mountain all by herself
(except for a couple big boulders that her Uncle picked her up over).

We conquered Mt Longonot!

We had a great time and everyone got nice and dirty.

Don't sit down, it's time to hike another one!
