The next day we drove back to Kenya and met Jane and the girls in Namanga.
From there we went to Amboseli game park where we spent the night and did the safari thing.
We saw many elephants, wildebeast, zebra, ostrich, crested cranes, antelope, gazzelle and a pride of lions.
Again, it was fun to be with the kids and watch them interact and play.
We had a great view of Kilimanjaro in the morning and we took lots of pictures.

We saw lions stalking a wildebeast that did not want to leave,
and we thought the poor beast was afraid of the safari vans parked 30 yards away.
Finally, after the lions got within 50 yards, the wildebeast ran to the other side of the road - behind the vans.
And as we watched, one of the lions walked over to where the wildebeast had been standing,
picked up something floppy and ran with it into the bushes - the other lions in tow.
We think the wildebeast was a mother that had a stillborn and was reluctant to leave it.

We got home later that day and went to The Carnivore for dinner.
The ostrich and zebra were tasty and the beef was the best I had eaten since I’d been there.
Unfortunately, this was my last night to spend with the family there and I regretted having to leave, but I was anxious to see Debby again.
I’m glad I let Bob talk me into climbing Mt Kilimanjaro.
It was an experience I’ll never forget...but I probably won’t do it again!

I wonder if Bob would like to go to the North Pole...
