James Henry (The first born child of John and Eleanor Sartoris) and Christine Sartoris had 4 children. They were Emma, Margaret, Clara, and Hiram ( Harry ).

HIRAM (HARRY) SARTORIS
- Born September 1871 in Pugwash. Hiram married Minnie Smith who was born March 9, 1884. Hiram and Minnie had 2 children. They were Margaret and Percy. Hiram died November 12, 1942 and Minnie died November 9, 1952.

EMMA SARTORIS
Born in 1873, Emma died March 3, 1878 at 4 years and 4 months of age.

MARGARET SARTORIS
Born in January 30, 1877. She was baptized July 30, 1877. Margaret Sartoris married a Mr. Kent and lived in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Her husband died early in their marriage. Margaret Sartoris Kent died May 8, 1961.

CLARA SARTORIS
Born in June 8, 1885 in Pugwash. She was baptized on July, 19, 1885. Clara never married, but stayed with her parents until they died, and then moved to Plymouth, Massachusetts to live with her sister. She had a chest of drawers, made by her grandfather, John Sartoris, which was given to her best friend, Lila Demings. Lila, who still lives in Pugwash, recalls Clara with great fondness. Clara died June 25, 1960.
